Jesse is gone.

Today is one week since Jesse left us here in Utah but he just left for Iraq yesterday. He didn't want us there when he actually left, so we moved a week before he left, then he flew back to San Diego last Monday. He just called tonight to say that they landed in Kuwait. I don't think its really hit any of us yet that he is gone. We are used to him being gone for weeks at a time. Today Savannah was talking about when Daddy comes home like it would just be a few days. Obviously she has no concept of time since she is only 3. Lincoln has suddenly gotten extremely attached to me. I'm not sure if its the move (he had a REALLY hard time with the move) or Jesse leaving, or a combination of the 2. Plus we have been crazy busy since we got here. We haven't had a single day in 2 weeks that we weren't with my family.

Before Jesse left we video taped him reading a bunch of the kids books, and I let the kids watch a few of them tonight. They LOVED it! Lincoln was jumping on the bed yelling, "Dat, Da! Dat Da, right there!" and Savannah just giggled the whole time. It was so cute!
