Seriously.. Sick Again!

I feel like this is all I ever post about, but come on! I just want my kids healthy! As I posted the other day, I took Lincoln to the dr on Thursday, and they said there wasn't anything really wrong. Well, Friday he started in with a cough. Then Saturday night/Sunday morning he was up all night coughing and crying and running a fever. Sunday night was my niece's first birthday party, and so I really wanted to know if he was contagious, so I took him to the instacare. Well, he has a cold, a sinus infection, and the beginning of an ear infection. So, we dropped Savannah off at my mom's house, and spent the day laying on the couch watching kid movies. Every time I put him down he would just cry. He was so sad and pathetic.

So around 9:30, Savannah comes home and she keeps saying that her tummy hurts. My mom said that she had been fine all day, so I figured she was just looking for attention since I was holding Lincoln. Nope, so puked all over my living room. Everything, couch, pillows, blankets, carpet, ottoman, Lincoln, water bottle, everything! So I washed all of that, put both kids in the tub, and put them to bed. All night, she kept doing that! The worst part was that both kids wanted to sleep with me, and Savannah would literally be laying down dead asleep then start puking while still asleep, so every time I had to move all 3 of us to a different bed and wash all the bedding and her PJs and hair. We didn't sleep at all!

So of course, today was a holiday and everyone else was out doing fun things, but we spent the whole day laying on the couch having a kid movie marathon.

What are the chances that my kids would be sick at the same time with different things?

Christmas Day

Christmas was great! We had planned for Jesse to call on the webcam at 8 am so he could watch the kids open their gifts, but I had to wake them up! They were so tired from Christmas Eve. We opened their presents, which they loved, then headed to my grandma's house for Brunch and more presents. Then we came home and played for an hour or so before heading to Jesse's parent's house for dinner and more presents. By the time we got home it was past bedtime. They were spoiled, and had a great day! I have tons of pictures on my dropshots page, but here are a few of my favorites.

I'm a slacker

I admit, I've been a blog slacker. Unfortunately that is not the only thing in my life I've been slacking on. We did great the first 6 months of this deployment, then just when we were almost to the seven month mark things fell apart. My kids both got sick a few days before Christmas. Well, to be honest they both came down with colds around Thanksgiving, and two days before Christmas is when I finally broke down a took them in. Savannah had an ear infection and Linc had a sinus infection. Antibiotics all around! Then on New Years Eve they both had a horrible stomach bug. By some mean twist of fate, on New Year's Day I came down with both the cold and the stomach bug. Sixteen days later I'm finally starting to feel normal again, but Lincoln is still sick. I took him back to the doctor yesterday, his fifth visit since he turned 2 in November. The doctor thinks that he just keeps catching new things, but ran a few blood tests just to be sure. Anyhow, the point of that is that I'm a slacker! For about a week we did nothing but lay around the house. While we haven't done that in a few weeks, I can't seem to get caught up. My house is a disaster, the laundry is still piled up, and I'm officially a blog slacker. It hasn't been pretty. The kids have cried, I've cried, but we are starting to pull things back together. And just in time... JESSE WILL BE HOME IN APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS! Of course, that is about when he will be here in Utah, not home to San Diego, which will be at least 5 days before he comes here.

And, as if that weren't enough, the following things have also happened since Christmas Day:
We spent 5 days at a ski condo with my family
I turned 25!
Jesse turned 27!
My mom, my sister, three brothers-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, and 2 nieces also had birthdays!
My great-grandmother turned 100!!!
My nephew, Parker, came to visit from Arizona for 10 days
Savannah started back to school, dance, and music

So, sorry I've been a slacker, I promise I'll update on the important things.
