I had a plan. I started packing 8 days ago and assigned myself one room to pack a day. I gave myself today off, and the goal was to be finished packing by 3 PM tomorrow. Jesse's flight gets in at like 7, so I was hoping to be done before Savannah got out of school so we could pick her up from school and head straight to Salt Lake and either hang out with one of my sisters or return some stuff at Baby Gap or something fun like that.
Well, it didn't happen. Things were going great until Thursday. My basement flooded! I went down to check the laundry at 10:30 PM and found water everywhere. I called my dad who came over and sucked 75 gallons of water out of 5 rooms in my basement! Luckily only 3 of them were carpeted. I guess somehow the drain hose from my washer came out of where it connects to the wall, so I had dirty wash water everywhere! So I was up until 1 am dealing with that. Then Friday I got up and dealt with it some more. Friday night we had planned for my nieces and nephews to sleep over (Savannah has been begging for months) so between the two things, I got nothing done on Friday. Then came Saturday. By the time I finally got all the children deposited to their homes it was almost noon. My kids were super grumpy, the carpet in the basement was still damp, and I now had about 13 loads of laundry left to do between the laundry I was still behind on and the stuff that got wet in the flood. So I dropped my kids off at my sisters and went to the laundromat. After that we had to stop by and see my grandparents. Then we had to get some dinner since my kitchen isn't functioning. Then we had to make a quick stop at the grocery store (like there is such a thing with 2 small kids) and we were finally home at 9:30 PM. Lincoln then proceeded to cry until around midnight. So, I folded the rest of the laundry and got that all packed up, and finally made it to bed around 2 AM. I'm now 2 days behind.
I thought I could make up for it today. I'd just have to give up my day off, no big deal, right? So we woke up late. I got myself and the kids ready for church, and even had time to pack a few straggling items in the bedrooms before our 11 am church. We got home at 2, and had an hour and a half before we had to leave for Jesse's sister's birthday dinner. Of course, I had to feed my kids. Then I managed to get some straggling items packed, and the kitchen half way cleaned. We then spent a quick hour at Jesse's family's house before going to the Sunday dinner/going away party my family was having today. We made it home around 9, and I attempted to put my kids to bed, and threatened them if they bugged me. I started in on the kitchen and got 1 measly box packed when I ran out of packing tape! I can't go get more. Its 11 PM and I have one sleeping kid, and 1 should-be-asleep toddler!
So, I now have 1 day to pack my kitchen and the playroom, which happen to be the 2 most difficult rooms in the house, disconnect the computer and get that all put away, get our "on the road" stuff ready to go, and pack the remaining straggling items. Plus we have to go to Walmart in the morning and Savannah has preschool which is 20 minutes away and I promised she could take cookies from her favorite bakery for her last day. So much for being done by 3 o'clock huh
I have taken tons of cute pictures this week, and I'd love to post one here, but I've packed all the cords necessary for that.

Moving sucks. Can you ask for help? Hang in there. One way or another, it will all get done, and you are doing a great job!
I wish I could help you. That sounds like a really crappy few days.
