50 books

My mom gave me a great book while I was in Utah. Twilight. I'm sure most of you have read it, and if you haven't you should. Anyhow, I ended up reading all 3 books in the same week. Then it hit me; I don't read much anymore. I used to read all the time, like a book a week, and I haven't read an adult book other than the scriptures in a long time. So, I've set a goal for myself to read 50 non-children's books in 2008. Books I've read before in previous years do count, but reading the same book twice in 2008 only counts as 1. So, here's a list of the books I've read so far along with a 1-10 rating.
1. Skipping Christmas, John Grisham: 7
2: Twilight, Stephenie Meyer: 10
3: New Moon, Stephenie Meyer: 10
4: Eclipse, Stephenie Meyer: 10
5: One for the Money, Janet Evanovich: 3

If you have any recommendations PLEASE post them in comments. Thanks!

Hey Carly, great blog! I found a blog: http://2girlsandabook.blogspot.com/ whose authors are LDS, so there's an LDS slant to the reviews. You can submit your own reviews, too!

It kind of also depends on what kind of reading you want! For fun, Dick Francis is one of my favorite authors, but I love horses. I also like some of Orson Scott Card. He has a really interesting one called "Enchantment" that is my favorite. And his series on "Sarah", "Rebekah" and "Rachel & Leah" were thought provoking, I didn't really like the way he wrote all of them. That's my 2 cents worth!
