Monday was Savannah's first day of 4 year old preschool. She goes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. She has been so excited for months. The day we moved to Utah she started asking if it was time to go to school yet. Monday morning she woke up at 5:30 am asking if it was time to go to school yet. Every 5 minutes the rest of the morning she asked if it was time to go to school yet. Finally noon rolled around and we headed off to school. We got there and she reluctantly let me take her picture outside the school. THen I followed her inside and made her pose by her cubby. She just wanted to play! Everyone loved the first day of school. SHe got to play with kids her own age, and Lincoln and I got to go to Gymboree with Caytie and her kids. See, everyone wins (except my bank account)
After school we picked her up and she chatted non-stop on the twenty minute drive home. We stopped and got ice cream too, a family first day of school tradition. So, here are the pictures from her first day:

Oh, and you may be wondering why she goes to preschool twenty minutes away. This is Utah afterall where preschools abound. Well, my grandmother happens to own this one. So she goes to a preschool with a fantastic reputation for free! Worth the drive to me anyday! And my sister works there, so she will be her teacher half the year. They switch classrooms every month.
