Happy Birthday Lincoln!

His birthday was a week ago, but I haven't posted it yet because I don't like any of the pictures from his party. I know, I'm lame. Anyhow, he turned 2, and so far 2 has been the best, easiest age so far! His diet has done wonders! He is now very well behaved. Not only has his behavior improved, his speech progress is amazing! When we met with his speech therapist for the first time we set 6 month goals. In six months we wanted him to go from the 30 words he currently said to 50, and we wanted him using 2-3 word phrases. When she came back 2 weeks later we were there. His new goal after that was 3-5 word phrases, and using pronouns, specifically me, mine, I, and you. Well, that was a week ago, and we are there! Well, he doesn't say you, but the rest of them he does! This kid has amazed me with his progress in such a short time! He rarely even asks for treats anymore, and doesn't seem to really mind when everyone else is having something he can't have. It just amazes me to talk to him now, we can actually have a conversation! ANd he's gotten a bit bossy. I dont' know where he could have possibly gotten that, must be from his big sister, and she must have gotten it from some stranger, couldn't be me. Anyhow, the first four word sentance he ever said was when we were shopping and Savannah grabbed something off the shelf. He pointed to her and said in his most stern voice, "Sister, put it back!"

His birthday was great! He had a firetruck party. I got him the cutest shirt at Gymboree that had a firetruck on it and said, "Birthday Boy." Unfortunately you can't see it in any of his pictures. If I ever get a working camera again, I'm putting the shirt back on him and staging pictures. I made a firetruck cake, and it fell over too. I didn't stress out about it this time though, because I threw the cake together in less than an hour just before leaving for his party. We had to have the party at my mom's house because it was pouring rain and there just isn't room for 25 people at my house. Anyhow, the drive to her house killed the cake. I really needed someone to hold it in the car, but I didn't trust Savannah or Lincoln with that task. So, without further ado, here are a few of the pictures from his party. These are the best that I have.

And since I did the same with Savannah's birthday, here is a quick timeline of the last 2 years of Lincoln.
