Moving... again

So the time has come to go back to San Diego. We are moving the third week of March. We decided to give the base housing in San Diego a try this time, and I think it will be good. We'll be in Mission Valley, close to everything and not too far from our old place. Only like 4 exits away, and only like 3 from base. And super close to my favorite San Diego mall, so I guess that's good.

I hate moving. I should be really good at it. In the 5.5 years we've been married we've lived in 6 houses (this will be #7) in 3 different states. I know I brought this on myself when I decided, by my own choice, to move back to Utah while Jesse was gone, but I REALLY hate moving. I hate packing stuff up. I hate the purge (and seriously how is there possibly that much stuff to purge every single time?). I hate the cleaning. I hate the unpacking and trying to make everything work and look right and finding places for everything. I hate living somewhere that doesn't feel like home for a few months.

And I hate to say this, but I'm not ready to leave Utah. Sure, I love San Diego. Sure, I'm excited to live with my husband again after almost 9 months apart. Sure, our time in Utah was not quite what we were expecting. I LOVE it here! I love Utah! I love the snow. I love being by our families. I love Savannah's school and her dance and her music class. I love being able to run over to my mom's house or my sister's house anytime I want. I love looking out my window and seeing the mountains. I love driving around town and showing my kids the schools I went to and places I went when I was a kid. Life is going to seem lonely and boring after the craziness of the last 8 months.

All whining aside though... we really are purging. If anyone needs a living room set, or a bed, or a gazillion toys, or baby gear give me a call. It all has to be out of my house in less than 3 weeks!

I'm sad you're moving again! We definately need to hang out before you leave -- whatever happened to all our good intentions of hanging out more while you were here?!?! Gimme a call sometime and we'll hang!!

I forgot how great it is to be in the Idaho/Utah area. It's been along time since I lived there and will even be alonger time until I get to go back.; I do agree with you on the packing and unpacking that is the down fall of the military

I'm sorry, moving does stink, and i know what you mean about Utah (minus the snow I don't miss that at all.) You think san diego is so close but it's still to far for a quick visit. Lets get together when you get back. I think you'll like saving money in base housing, think no utilities again!

I can't wait for no utilities! Our gas bill last month was $400! and we still had to pay electric, water, sewage, etc on top of that! I about died.

Carley I'm so sad you're leaving again-I didn't get to see you enough while you were here! I'm excited for you to be with Jesse again though. Well I'm if you are able to have one more night out with the friends but I understand how busy you'll be. I'll miss you tons!
