Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my birthday, I'm 26! I have to work tonight, so Jesse and I had planned to go out last night for my birthday. Well then he didn't feel well, and asked if I would mind going this morning instead. He said he had a surprise in mind.

I was woken up this morning by Savannah telling me "Happy Birthday," over and over. Then we had presents. Savannah got me a hot pink alarm clock, Lincoln got me a clock for my dinning room, and Jesse got me the New Moon Soundtrack. He's really getting me Muse tickets for my birthday, but I've asked him to wait until we know for sure if he is going to Afghanistan or not, because if not I want him to go with me. We should know in the next week or two.

Then we went on our date. His surprise was breakfast at this fun little cafe in Encinitas right on the beach. It was a great breakfast. After we started walking down to the little shops, but Jesse realized that he had left his Ray Bans on the table at the restaurant. His aviator Ray Bans that he's very attached to and that are now discontinued. So we go back to the restaurant not five minutes after we left and they are gone. There is now another couple sitting at our table and the host, server, and bus boy all claim that they didn't see them. Whatever. Not wanting to make a scene we agreed to call back tomorrow when the manager will be there. So we went at watched the surfers on the beach for a while.

On the way home we stopped at Jesse's work to get the info I need to file our taxes. He works in a high security building, and even though he has the proper clearance it set of an alarm because today is Saturday. So then the military police came and we had to fill out a report. Fun stuff. Good thing that Jesse is the security manager and the person who has to deal with that kind of stuff.

So now we are at home and just hanging out watching HGTV until I have to go to work. Happy Birthday to me.
