Project 359

I'm sure everyone has read about project 365 somewhere. I'm sure there are other things with this name, but what I'm referring to is when a blogger makes a goal to do something everyday for a year and blog about it. Whether is scrapping something every day, taking a picture every day, you know, whatever. So I like to read all my friends blogs. I occasionally like to read stranger's blogs too. Since the new year every time I've found a blog that says they are doing this I think, "Wow, that's great!" So it hit me today, I should do that too. I'm a little bit late to the game, but who cares. So what am I going to do? Well I suck at journaling. Its something that I've made a New Year's Resolution probably at least ten times in my twenty-six years, and have never once written in a journal more than maybe five times in a year. When I started this blog, that was my number one goal. This is my new journal. That other people might occasionally read. But that is the point of a journal, right? You are supposed to save it for people to read in the future, so this counts. So my goal is to journal something every day for the remaining 359 days of the year. If I can get a picture every day that would be great, but I'm not going to call it a requirement.

I'll make it short and sweet today. Only maybe not so sweet. The kids and I have been sick lately. I'm not really sure when the kids started with the tired, runny nose, coughing, crap. I know that I started getting sick on Friday. I was sick on my birthday and called out to work. Then I regretted it the next day when I was even sicker but felt obligated to go to work. Then I regretted it even more last night when my head literally felt like it was going to explode and I had body aches so bad that even my teeth hurt. But I went to work anyway. I told myself that if I wasn't feeling better today I would find out who my doctor is and make an appointment. Woudln't you know it, I feel much better today. I still don't feel normal by any means, I'm still tired, congested, headachey, etc but I can function and my whole body doesn't hurt. I'm on the mend! I've joked this week that we are sporting the "vampire look" at our house. I think this picture I just snapped of Lincoln pretty much sums up what I mean. And this is the almost all better version. You should have seen him last week.

You know that Blurb.com (and probably other places) will turn your blog into a book? That way at the end of the year, you can do that and feel nice and virtuous for having a real journal!

good idea. I still need to print mine out. but mine are so long it cost a lot. I'm working one from blurb now. When I get some extra money I'll print them. I may do 1/2 year books.
