Friday morning we needed another quick and easy hairdo, and she wanted to wear these ribbon things. I don't really know what they are called, but they are one of the easiest "hair pretties" to make. I made these one 3 years ago and we still use them. Basically you take a regular hair elastic (the bigger kind) and tie a bunch of ribbons around it. Double knot the ribbons so they will stay, then heat seal the ends and you are done.
So we decided to go with "Princess Leia with flair." I didn't take any instructional pictures, because I figured this is one of those hairdos that everyone knows, but just in case... Start by putting the hair in two ponytails right on the sides of her head. Braid each of the ponytails. Wrap the hair around the ponytail to form a bun. Secure the bun with bobbypins, then put the ribbon elastic around the whole thing.
